Survey for Minority Physical Therapists
The “Survey for Minority Physical Therapists” was developed to determine what influenced Physical Therapists who identify as a racial minority to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. This survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
This survey is part of our Centennial Scholar’s, LaDonna Dingle, Capstone project. The project is sponsored by the Chapter’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and we have been working to help educate elementary, middle, high school, and college students on careers in Physical Therapy. We are also working to develop relationships with the Historically Black Colleges and Universities in Maryland to mentor students who are interested in applying to Doctoral Physical Therapy programs to be strong applicants. The information collected from this survey will help to identify focus areas in our recruitment strategies to help diversify our profession.
If you are interested in receiving a copy of the results of the survey, you may leave your email address at the conclusion of the survey. The goals is to have the participation from as many Physical Therapists as possible across the United States, so please feel free to pass the link to the survey to any colleagues or post the link on social media accounts to complete the survey.
Thank you for your participation and input.
